Georgie graduated from the University of South Australia in 1998 and began her career in in the Port Augusta Childrens Health team. After a short time she moved to the Yorke Peninsula working at Southern Yorke Peninsula Health Service at Minlaton. During this role she gained experience in all aspects of a rural Occupational Therapy Practise as an autonomous practitioner. After three years Georgie gained the role as Senior Occupational Therapist at Wallaroo for Northern Yorke Peninsula Health Service, managing a young and dynamic team.
During her extensive career spanning over 17 years Georgie has gained skills across numerous practise areas including Paediatrics, Hand Therapy, Domiciliary Care, Disability, Aged Care Assessment Team, DVA, Rehabilitation, Leadership & Management and Project Management.
Her main area of interest lies within the aged care sector providing comprehensive and wholistic assessment, treatment and recommendations to give greater independence and maximise function in daily living.
Simone graduated from the University of South Australia in 2000 and was awarded the Alumni Gold Medal for achieving outstanding academic results.
Early on in her career, Simone was employed by Country Home Services (formerly CHAP), where she became their first Home Care Package Coordinator based on Yorke Peninsula. She then moved on to work as a GP Home Link Coordinator for Helping Hand Aged Care in Adelaide. .
For thirteen years, Simone was employed by Country Health SA, based at Minlaton. During this time, she engaged in many aspects of Domiciliary Care and Aged Care Assessment. She commonly conducted home safety and falls assessments; equipment prescriptions, home modification recommendations and general case management and coordination of clients.
Simone has recently been developing her knowledge and skills in many aspects of paediatric practice and is excited about expanding her practice to be more inclusive of such clientele in the future.
